We charge primarily based on volume.
1y³ / 0.76m³ is 3ft x 3ft x 3ft or 0.91m x 0.91m x 0.91m, which is roughly the same size as 2 domestic washing machines or 8 – 10 bin bags.
Waste can be broken down to reduce volume, although there is a maximum weight limit which will apply.
Heavy and dense waste such as bricks, rubble and soil will be charged based on estimated weight, or we would recommend skip hire for these types of waste which we can provide on a next-day basis.
Weight
There are weight limits which are applied to our 'man and van' clearance service and some of our skip bags.
We include up to 100 kg per y³ with our clearance service, as estimated by our truck teams on site.
As a guide, bulky waste weighs around 50 – 75 kg whereas heavy and dense waste such as bricks, rubble and soil can weigh anywhere from 250 kg – 1000 kg per y³.
Labour
We include reasonable labour, but a charge may apply if there is a reason which is causing the collection to take much longer than normal. This could include no parking anywhere near the property or access issues. This will always be advised upfront.
Parking
The customer does need to pay for parking or provide a suitable parking location. Parking is not normally an issue when we are loading, but it could be a consideration if you are located on a red route or very busy junction.
Extra charges
Extra charges only apply to our clearance service, as these items cannot be collected at all with skips or skip bags.
These are additional charges applied to the collection in addition to the volume and reflect the additional cost of disposing of these specialist items.
Fridges, TV's / Monitors, Mattresses, Tyres.

What if there is a lot more waste on arrival? We can usually clear as much rubbish as you like, so as long as you are satisfied with the cost, this won't be a hindrance. We're happy to clear as much waste as you like, or if you need time to think about the extra that's fine too.
